Abstract
Objective To evaluate three-dimensional transvaginal sonography(3D-TVS) in diagnosis of uterine cavity lesion. Methods 3D-TVS were performed in 56 patients with uterine cavity lesion, the results of which were compared with that of pathology and hysteroscopy, and two-dimensional transvaginal sonography(2D-TVS). Results Of 56 patients, 25 suffered from endometrial polyp, 14 from submucous myoma, 13 from endometrial hyperplasia, 2 from endometrial cancer, and 2 from coagulated blood clot in uterine cavity. The accuracy of diagnosis by 3D-TVS was higher than that by 2D-TVS. The specificity and sensitivity of 3D-TVS in diagnosis of endometrial hyperplasia was 92.3%、96.7% respectively, while 100% and 100% in submucous myomis. Conclusion 3D-TVS in diagnosis of uterine cavity lesion is superior to 2D-TVS.
