Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of endotoscopic assisted myringotomy and grommet insertion treatment for otitis media with effusion. Methods: Between June 2010 and May 2012,90 cases of otitis media with effusion pateints in our hospital were chosen and treated with endotoscopic assisted myringotomy and grommet insertion method. To discuss the clinical efficacy of endotoscopic assisted myringotomy and grommet insertion treatment for otitis media with effusion, the basic clinical data and the efficacy data determined by return visit was analyzed retrospectively. Results: 67 cases(74.44%) of patients were cured,20 cases(22.22%) of patients were proved effective and 3 cases(3.34%) of patients showed ineffective. Conclusions: Endotoscopic assisted myringotomy and grommet insertion treatment is clinically effective for otitis media with effusion patiens. This method has the advantage of clear field and simple operation, which is easier for developing in primary hospitals.
