Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of amlodipine on endothelial function in patients with essential hypertension and insulin resistance effects. Methods 42 cases of patients with essential hypertension as a treatment group,30 cases of normal healthy as control group, treatment group was treated with amlodipine for 8 weeks,in venous blood taken before and after treatment fasting blood glucose and insulin, and then calculate insulin sensitivity;use of ultrasound to detect blood vessels outside the brachial artery before and after treatment of endothelium-dependent vasodilation. Results Compared with control group, before the treatment, the treatment group′s systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, fasting glucose, fasting insulin were significantly higher, and the base lin brachial artery cliameter,in sulin sensitivity index, brachial artery enclotheliumdependent vasodilation werre lower, the differences were statistical significance(P0.01).After 8 weeks treatment, patients systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure were lower compared with the previous lower fasting insulin levels, insulin sensitivity index higher than before, the basis of the value of brachial artery diameter and flow-mediated endothelium-dependent vasodilation markedly improved, the differences were statistically significant(P0.01).Conclusion Amlodipine, while effective blood pressure can improve insulin resistance and hypertension in patients with brachial artery endothelium-dependent vasodilation.
