Abstract

Wen Yiduo's great achievement in poetic creation and construction of poetic theory has been unanimously recognized by scholars both in East and West. He becomes widely acquainted with foreign cultures, especially English poems in his youth, and at beginning, the affinity between East and West is embodied in his first attempt of creations; his study in US makes him more familiar with culture and poems in US and Great Britain; poem of Static Water is consciously borrowed from poems in US and Great Britain. In meantime, his poetic creation and construction of poetic theory vividly reflect his inheritance of artistic essence of traditional poems and poetic theory. His poetic creation serves as a bridge between East and West.
