Abstract

When he studied in America and after he returned to China, Wen Yiduo was fascinated by the extreme aesthetic poetic trend, creeping into a real poetic world and keeping away from earthiness. However in the face of the ethnic discrimination in America and the social darkness in his homeland, and because of the humane essence of literature, Wen, who was born to love his homeland and people, had to descend from the celestial world of poetry to the profane earth. He produced more and more impressive patriotic poems and failed to become an extreme aesthetic poet.
