Abstract
The epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride was prepared under phase transfer self-catalyst by the reaction between trimethylamine hydrochloric acid(TMA) and epichlorohydrin(ECH).The results of experiments indicated when optimum preparing conditions are as follows:temperature 70℃,reaction time 3.5h,n_TMA∶n_ECH= 1∶1,pH 8.2,the maximum yield of the product is 93.1%.Structure of the product is characterized by IR spectrum.
