Abstract

Objective To observe the expression of transforming growth factor beta1(TGF-β1) and α-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA) in renal of mice with tubulointerstitial fibrosis by unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO).Methods Thirty-six male KM mice were divided into sham-operated group and UUO model group,The mice were killed on day 3,7,14 after operation. The renal tissue of the obstructed side were obtained.the expression of TGF-β1 and α-SMA were observed by HE、Masson staining、Immunohistochemistry staining and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results Compared with those in sham-operated group,The expression of TGF-β1 and α-SMA increased continually and the development of tubulointerstitial fibrosis was obviously severer in UUO model group;(P0.01).Conclusion TGF-β1 and α-SMA play a important role in process of mice with tubulointerstitial fibrosis.
