Voronoi-based Town Classification System and Its Influence Range in Bijie

Abstract
Supported by current urban classification system and spatial influence research,and based on Voronoi diagram and breakpoint theory,the town system of Bijie was divided and its influence range was discussed.Results revealed the forty-one towns and four leves of Bijie's town classification system in which west town is the highest level center,Salaxi town and Haizi Street town are the second highest level centers,and Yachi town,Zhuchang town and other six towns are the subsidiary centers through population.The classification system accorded with the practical development of Bijie.
