Abstract
The reaction kinetics of the mixed acid (H2SO4+HNO3) leaching of compositecopper ore was studied. The influence of temperature, particle size and leaching solution concentration on extraction of copper was investigated. The results show that the leaching processfits in a surface reaction control model. The apparent activation energy was calculated to be45.73 kJ/mol. The order of the reaction was 0.5 with respect to H+ and 1 with respect to NO3.The kinetic equation of the reaction is given by
