Discussion on the Goals and Implementation Methods of Urban Stormwater Utilization in Guangming New District in Shenzhen

Urban regional stormwater utilization planning is a new challenge in China, which involves many aspects.Guangming new district,Shenzhen,is the first city to carry out the detailed planning of urban stormwater utilization in the country. The plan comprises of a set of planning guidelines and policy support measures for urban stormwater utilization which suit local needs.The paper discusses the implementation method of stormwater utilization in Guangming,the objectives of stormwater utilization,the choices of control parameter and approval process of stormwater utilization projects.The planning guidelines of stormwater utilization in Guangming can provide scientific guidance for drainage projects in Guangming.And the practice in Guangming can provide references for other cities in China.
