Abstract
Objective To detect specific circular antibody from the urine of patients infected with Schistosoma japonicum (S japonicum) and study its application in diagnosis of schistosomiasis Methods The urine of patients with S japonicum was collected, IgG antibody and its subclass (IgG 1,IgG 2,IgG 3) were detected by ELISA, the urine of patients with Clonorchis sinensis was used as cross reaction control and normal urine as negative control Results The detection rate of IgG specific antibody in urine of patients with S japonicum was 81 0% (17/21),and IgG 1,IgG 2, IgG 3 were 81 0% (17/21), 19 0% (4/21) and 23 8% (5/21), respectively; a 25 0% (2/8) cross reaction of the IgG 1 antibody in urine of patients with Clonorchis sinensis with S japonicum antigen was observed But no reaction was observed with IgG 2,and IgG 3 antibody Conclusion There were anti- S japonicum antibodies in the urine of patients with S japonicum The IgG 1 antibody in urine of patients with Clonorchis sinensis was reacted with S japonicum antigen, suggesting that IgG antibody can be detected from the urine of schistosomiasis patients and IgG 2, and IgG 3 in the urine of shcistosomiasis patients can be used for differential diagnosis of shcistosomiasis
