Abstract
Objective:To compare the effects of radial artery puncture and femoral vein puncture for collecting blood to improve the success rate of collecting blood. Methods:The one-time puncture success rate and operation time were recorded in radial artery puncture and femoral vein puncture and the damage degree was observed. Results:The one-time success rate was 93.8% in the radial artery puncture and 82.4% in the femoral vein puncture;the operate time was 6.5 min in the former and 9.2 min in the later;the rate of local hematoma occurrence in puncture site was 5.36% in the former and 12.5% in the latter. Conclusion:Radial artery puncturing in newborns for collecting blood has the higher success rate compared with femoral vein puncture, which is easier to be operated with less damage and short operating time, and worth being spread in clinic.
