Abstract
A new method for simultaneous determination of Pb,Fe,Bi,Sb,As,Sn,Ni,Zn,P,S,Ag,Se,Te,Si,Mn and Cr in high purity copper cathode by ICP-AES after separation of copper by sodium chloride-sodium diethyldthiocarbamate-n-propanol system in the presence of EDTA is discussed. The detection limit of the method is in the range of 0.003-0.028 μg/mL. The recovery for the elements is from 94.5% to 107.2%. RSD is less than 4.7%. This method is accurate, rapid and convenient. It is used for the determination of impurity elements in high purity copper cathode with satisfactory results.
