Abstract
The shortage of ethylene feedstock has great influence on the long-term development of ethylene industry in China. To face the challenges of world petrochemical counterpart and competition of olefin process from coal-based methanol. The paper presents countermeasures,e.g. sustainable upgrading technology,industrial restructuring,give priority to the need of vehicle fuel, developing high-end products and all round optimum utilization of oil resource,etc.
