Abstract
This paper aims to prove the exercise intensity progressiveness of the diabetes quantitative exercise prescriptions, which is developed by Guangxi Diabetes Quantitative Exercise Prescription Study Group(It has been made into the form of CD-ROM that is officially published, issuing No.Isrc cn-s11-07-0006-0/v.r).This paper also discusses the effects of a set of Graded quantitative exercise prescriptions on diabetes patients at different levels and phases. Methods: 22 healthy college students did the Graded exercises by following the CD-ROM.It was respectively recorded that the changes of their heart rate, the consumption of their physical energy, the numbers of walking pace and ratings of perceived exertion(RPE) while doing the exercises by using Polar heart rate monitor, energy monitor, pedometers. Results: Statistics shows that the exercise intensity of the graded exercise prescriptions ranges increasingly from Grade 1 to Grade 5.Conclusion The exercise intensity of all the 5 graded exercise prescriptions ranges increasingly from Grade1 to Grade5.The graded quantitative exercise prescriptions, therefore, offers a wide range of treatments in exercise therapy for diabetes patients at different phases and stages.
