How to Build an Administrative ADR Mechanism for Settling Environmental Disputes

Abstract

With more and more environmental disputes being sued for the courts, the limited judicial resources have hardly supported such lawsuits. The administrative ADR(Alternative Dispute Resolution) has an advantage over litigation when settling environmental disputes. This article analyses and studies the present status limitation of administrative settlement of environmental disputes, as well as the necessity of strengthening administrative settlement of environmental disputes. Some advices are put forward on how to build an administrative ADR mechanism for settling environmental disputes in our country.
