A Review of the Dual Economy Theories of Western Classical and Neo-Classical Schools.

The fundamental way to solve the problem concerning agriculture, rural area and farmers is to realize the transition from the dual economy to the modern urban mono-economy, which calls for a theoretical guidance. This paper elaborates establishing a dual economy theory that suits the practical condition of China by commentary and analysis of the dual economy transition models respectively presented by the Western classical school and the neo-classical school.
