Abstract
Objective To observe the levels on serum cystatin C(Cys C),urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER) in Type 2 Diabetes, and explore the correlation between the two indicators. Methods 137 cases with type 2 diabetes from August 2011 to April 2012 were included. The patients were divided into three groups according to UAER.Cys C were detected. The correlation between the two indicators were observed. Results UAER were 15.24±10.83 mg/24h,198.71±63.08 mg/24h,1025.36±495.47 mg/24h in no diabetic nephropathy(DN)group(group A),early DN group(group B),clinical DN group(group C),respectively.Cys C were 0.73±0.25 mg/L,1.43±0.41 mg/L,2.05±0.59 mg/L,respectively.The UAER and Cys C levels in group B and group C were significantly different from group A(P0.05);Cys C and UAER were positively correlated(r=0.571,P0.05).Conclusions Cys C can be used as an indicator for the early diagnosis in type 2 diabetic nephropathy patients.
