Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of combined Chinese and western medine on drug-induced hepatitis. Methods 65 patients sufferred from drug-induced hepatitis were randomly assigned into two groups.30 patients in the control group were treated introvenously with Diammonium Glycyrrihizinate and complex Radix Salvia Miltiorrhiae injection.35 patients in the treatment group were administrated Chinese medicine in addition to the procedure used in the control group.Thirty days was a treatment course in both groups and the clinical effect was observed after one treatment course in both groups. Results The total effectiveness rate in the treatment and control group was 85.7% and 63.3% respectively((P0.05)).The levels of serum alanine aminotransferase, asparate aminotransferase and the level of total bilirubin significantly decreased in both groups after treatment compared with those before treatment(P0.01).The level of serum total bilirubin was significant lower in the treatment group than that in the control group after treatment(P0.01).Conclusion There is a definite effect of combined Chinese and western medicine on drug-induced hepatitis.
