Abstract
Objective To study the clinical significance of CT perfusion(CTP) imaging in evaluation of cerebral hemodynamic changes before and after thrombolytic therapy in cerebral infarction patients.Methods Twenty-nine patients with acute cerebral infarction in this hospital from October 2008 to December 2010 were examined with CT scanning and CTP imaging within 12 hours after onset,all patients were given with thrombolytic therapy,and cerebral CT scanning was re-examined at 1 week after treatment.All images were given with post-image processing in order to remove the skull,cerebrospinal fluid effects,defined blood vessels,reducing noise,and then forming cerebral perfusion parametric maps,measuring cerebral blood flow(CBF),cerebral blood volume(CBV) and then quantitative comparison was made before and after treatment.Results Before thrombolytic treatment,the cerebral infarction in 12 patients was found by CT scanning,and the abnormal regional cerebral perfusion in all patients was found by CTP,and CBF and CBV were all reduced.After treatment,CBV in the marginal zone increased significantly compared with that before treatment,the difference was statistically significant,and there were no significant changes in CBV and CBF after treatment.Conclusion CTP imaging can better show the changes of cerebral hemodynamics in patients with cerebral infarction,and it may provide accurate basis for evaluation of the effect of treatment,and it is worthy to be applied.
