Abstract
Three-phase three-line shunt Active Power Filter(APF) can be used to restrain harmonic currents and compensate reactive power current on-line.At present, most of the compensation principles of APF are that the compensation currents track the detected reference harmonic currents. After the analysis of the previous compensation principles,a novel control method is proposed in this paper that harmonic power is detected to be the reference compensation power firstly. Then, adopting Direct Power Control(DPC) method,an APF controller is designed to make compensation power track the reference compensation power,so as to achieve the purpose of eliminating harmonics. At the end, simulation results indicate that the APF based on DPC shows perfect harmonic compensation performances.
