Abstract

A set of recombinant inbred line(RIL)populations derived form an elite hybrid,Nongda 108,were used to analyze the genetic bases of ear related traits in maize, which were evaluated in the field at three locations, and a genetic linkage map was constructed using molecular markers. The re- sults indicated that ear length has significant postive correlation with kernels weight per ear,so as the kernel per row and row number with kernel weight per row.A total of 38 QTL were detected for 5 measured traits, including 8 QTL for ear length,7 QTL for kernel per row,9 QTL for row number,4 QTL for 100-kernel weight, and 10 QTL for kernel weight per row.Out of the QTL,many QTL were detected only at one location.
