Abstract

The effects of different amount of nitrogen application on yield, quality and economic benefit of flue-cured tobacco were studied. The results showed that along with the increase of application rate of nitrogen fertilizer, the plant height, number of leaves and maximum leaf area were all increased, the incidence rate of climate spot disease, mosaic disease and potato virus Y revealed rising trends, the weight of roasted single tobacco leaf and the output per unit area were enhanced, and the quality of tobacco leaves increased firstly and then declined.Comprehensively considering the above points, treatment D(20% less than the normal application rate of pure nitrogen) had the best effects.
