Restraining Factors and Countermeasures on Improving the Academic Research Quality of College English Teachers

The academic research quality is a key factor for college English teachers to improve their teaching and for the development of college English.College English teachers' low scientific research consciousness,imbalanced knowledge structure,heavy teaching load and tedious teaching contents have restricted not only their own overall development but also the integral enhancement of the teaching quality.It is a systematic project to improve the academic research quality of college English teachers,which requires that we should learn from successful experience of other countries,reform the current management system and the evaluation mechanism.Furthermore,college English teachers should explore new paths to do academic research as well.
