Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of transvaginal ultrasound-guided immature follicle aspiration(IMFA) on polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS) in women with anovulatory infertility(AI). Methods One hundred and forty-eight patients with PCOS and AI were involved in this trial. All patients were randomly divided into control group(treated with ovulation-inducing drug,n=80) and puncture group(treated with follicular puncture plus ovulation-inducing drug,n=68).The number of follicles with a size of 14-18 mm in mean diameter, the number of follicles with a size of ≥18 mm in mean diameter, the serum level of E2 in HCG injection day,the dosage of HMG,the ovulation rate, the clinical pregnancy rate and the incidence rate of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome(OHSS) were compared between the two groups. Results The number of follicles with a size of 14-18 mm in mean diameter in HCG injection day,the serum level of E2 and the dosage of HCG in puncture group were all less than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P0.05).The number of follicles with a size of ≥18 mm in mean diameter in puncture group was slightly lower than that of control group, but no statistically significant difference was found between the two groups(P0.05).The ovulation rate and the clinical pregnancy rate of puncture group were both higher than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).The incidence rate of OHSS in puncture group was lower than that of control group, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups(P0.05). Conclusions IMFA has a good efficacy for treatment of PCOS complicated with AI,with the higher ovulation rate and clinical pregnancy rate.It is worthy of popularization and application.
