On the Quality Guarantee of the U.S. Higher Education and Its Implications

In the aspect of quality guarantee,Higher Education in the United States has formed a sound and well-functioning institutional mechanism of Four in One,which includes the certification of certifying bodies,the institutions’ internal guarantee,social evaluation,and the supervision of the government.Learning from the experience of the Higher Education quality guarantee in the United States,China should attach great importance to the construction of higher education quality guarantee system,support the establishment and development of independent assessment agencies,establish hierarchical classifying evaluation criteria to conduct classification assessment,establish and improve the institutions’ self-evaluation mechanism,establish an open higher education data and information service platform,and strengthen the assessment’s international exchanges and cooperation so as to promote the upgrading of the quality of higher education.
