Abstract

Objective: To study the inhibitory effects of angiostatin (AS) on glioma line G422. Methods: The effects of AS on the proliferation of angioendothelial cell line ECV-304 and human glioma cell line TJ-905 were observed with MTT method. The mouse model was established for subcutaneous transplantation of glioma line G422. After injection of AS [10 and 50mg/(kg·d)] for 14 days, the changes of tumor ratio and tumor inhibition rate were observed. Results: The AS inhibitionon KCV-304 cell exhibited a dose-action dependent relation with an IC (50) to be 3.7 mg/L. The inhibition rate of 50 mg/(kg·d) in vivo might be as high as 84.3% . Conclusion. The experimental study indicates that the AS will be of a wide application in tumor treatment.
