Abstract
In Shuo Wen Jie Zi,a Chinese dictionary of words and expressions,there is an emphasis on words' meaning,which contains colorful historic and cultural information of China.In particular,the Chinese characters with Yi(clothes)as their parts provide us with a unique perspective on ancient Chinese clothing,and thus the compiler's great pains in explaining the words can be detected.
