Studies on Species Diversity of Castanopsis Carlesii Community in Nature Reserve of Castanopsis Kawakamii

The community of Castanopsis carlesii is the second largest broad-leave forest type in Nature Reserve of Castanopsis kawakamii.Based on the data collected from six sample plots with an area of 3000m2,this paper analyses the species composition,the types of distribution and species diversity in different plots and layers of the Castanopsis carlesii community.The results show that the community is composed of 106 species of vascular plant belonging to 44 families and 74 genera.In terms of distribution type,most of them are tropical genera.There are also some temperate-originated species.The diversity indexes of tree layer,shrub layer and herb layer among various sample plots are somewhat different.The diversity index of shrub layer is the highest,while that of tree layer and herb layer is the second and the lowest in the vertical structure of the community.
