Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and nursing of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) combination with Tiotropium Bromide Powder for Inhalation(Spiriva) and Salmeterol/Fluticasone(Seretide).Methods Forty-five patients with Moderate to severe COPD were randomly divided into three groups: the combined treatment group were given Tiotropium Bromide Dry Powder and Salmeterol/Fluticasone Propionate;Tiotropium Bromide group were given Tiotropium Bromide dry powder;Salmeterol/Fluticasone Propionate group were given Salmeterol/Fluticasone Propionate.Lung functions were compared in the three groups before and after the treatment two weeks later. Results Compared with Tiotropium Bromide group and Salmeterol/Fluticasone Propionate group, the FEV1 and FVC of the combined group improved remarkable(P0.01) on Day 14.Conclusion Combination of three kinds of medications has stronger bronchiectasis effect, which can significantly improve lung function of COPD patients.
