Abstract
The effect of the planting density on the yield and yield components of the maize variety Syngenta 408 were Studied. The results show that the suitable density recommended for single-cropping maize is 82 500~90 000 plants/hm2 and the highest yield, namely 15 333 kg/hm2 was achieved when the density was 88 600 plants/hm2.The planting density was highly correlated negatively with the weight of 100 grains. The grain number per spike deceased with the increase of the planting density. The lodging rate increased gradually with the increase of the planting density.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
