Serum levels of IL-2,IL-6,IL-18 in patients with hepatitis C

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the relationship between serum levels of IL-2,IL-6,IL-18 and immune state of hepatitis C.Methods: Serum levels of IL-2,IL-6,IL-18 were measured in 43 patients with hepatitis C and 32 normal controls by ELISA.Results: Compared with normal controls,IL-2 contents decreased,and IL-6 and IL-18 levels increased in patients with chronic and serious hepatitis C(P0.01 or 0.05).Conclusion: IL-2,IL-6,IL-18 are markers of the immune state of hepatitis C and are helpful in hepatitis C treatment guidance.
