Abstract
This paper introduced China's basic facts in water resources and utilization,which are characterized by a low water quantity per capita,the uneven distribution both in time and in space,frequent droughts and floods,lack of water resources,severe water pollution,and vulnerability in ecological environment.This paper addresses the issue of China’s water supply security in terms of safe drinking water,anti-flood safety,food security,water supply security,ecological security,and brings forward the construction of the water-saving and pollution-proof society to guarantee the sustainable utilization of water resources and sustainable development of the society.
