Abstract
In this paper, firstly, as the basis of data warehouse metadata management, the constitution and classification of metadata are discussed. Secondly, the functions which the metadata management system of data warehouse should possess are deeply investigated. Based on this, a federated system of metadata management in data warehouse is provided, and the system architecture of metadata repository is given. Finally, the future research on metadata management of data warehouse is pointed out.
