Abstract
Percutaneous vertebraplasty is a development of the field of minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of spinal diseases in recent years, making a significant clinical curative effect. Its main indications are the treatment of vertebral hemangioma, osteoporotic vertebral fracture as well as non infected fracture caused by other factors, these diseases can also be preventived. The concept of percutaneous vertebraplasty was first named by France's medical experts Galibert and Deramond in 1984.When treatmenting 1 case of intractable pain in the C2 vertebral hemangioma, they used a bone cement packing and achieved good results, creating the history of percutaneous vertebraplasty.PKP and SKY were accompanied by PVP,and successfully used in the treatment of the osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture, and theclinical reports about secondary change of vertebral caused by this operation were more and more.A large number of scholars have done a lot of researches with the biomechanics of percutaneous vertebraplasty, and have made great achievements. The mechanism, clinical effects or complications are closely related with biomechanical studies.Research analysis has been done more and more in the vertebral body, vertebral body enhancement agent in areas such as biomechanics. This article is briefly to introduce the spine biomechanical structure, focusing on the biomechanical study of percutaneous vertebraplasty. And further study needs attention in clinical application. For a comprehensive description, the following article dicussed the biomechanical of percutaneous vertebraplasty.
