Abstract
Objective To discuss clinical characteristics and emergency treatment of severe chest injuries with multiple trauma.Methods Four hundreds and thirty-five cases of severe chest trauma were reviewed retrospectively.The cause of trauma,its clinical characteristics,treatment and rates of complication were analyzed.Results All cases suffered from severe thoracic trauma(AIS-90≥3),and about 91.2% of the patients with ISS16,three hundreds and seventy-four cases were cured,sixty died(14.1%).Conclusion Thoracic trauma with multiple trauma has high rate of death and shock,and much of complications.It is difficult to be diagnosed and important to treat complications.There has certain value with thoracoscopy in diagnosis and therapy of thoracic trauma.
