Abstract
Objective:To assess the effect of various body posture to bladder irrigation. Methods: 82 patients with indwelling catheterization were divided into two groups.42 patients constituted the experimental group and 40 patients constituted the control group. All the patients received bladder washing everyday.Patients in experimental group were in left-lateral position and right-lateral position alternatively during bladder washing, and patients in control group were in recumbent position.Urine routine test and urine culture test results before bladder washing and 7 days,14 days,28days after bladder washing were compared. Results: 3 times of urine routine test and urine culture results of 7 days and 14days after bladder washing were different between the two groups(P0.01).Urine of experimental group was more clouding than that of control group.Urinary canals of experimental groups did not obstructed.1 patient′s urinary canal was obstrructed in control group. Conclusion: Making patients in left-or right-lateral position during bladder washing can improve the effect, decrease the infection rate of urine system. But if the time of indwelling catheterization is long, urine system infection can′t be prevent by bladder washing.
