Abstract
Objective:Bacillus which can effectively inhibit animal-derived Escherichia coli and Salmonella were screened from the soil of a broiler farm.Method:Strains of target bacillus were isolated by 96-well high-throughput method. Then, stains were identified by 16S rRNA and gyrB gene analysis.Result:(1) Five strains were proved to inhibit pathogens effectively. Most of all,BP-14 was the most effective strain, which inhibited the growth of three strains of E.coli E1,E3,E4 and one strain of S.gallinarum SC1,and the inhibitory rate was over 75%.(2) BP-14 was identified as Bacillus pumilus based on BLAST and phylogenic analysis. Conclusion:A bacillus strain named BP-14 was isolated from the soil of a broiler farm, which presented an inhibition effect on the growth of animal-derived pathogens. And it was classified as Bacillus pumilus.
