Some Ideas about the "Period" Division of Chinese Contemporary Literature

About period division,as the frontier discipline of Chinese contemporary literature,different schools hold different opinions.Some include the seventeen and the Cultural Revolution in the period of contemporary literature.Others think that only the literature in the new century can be considered as contemporary literature.As a matter of fact,the development and evolvement of literature could not be broken up or partitioned,let alone in the particular environment of China where it is closely related with politics and economy.On this basis,the 60 years of contemporary literature should be divided into literature beginning from the founding of the People's Republic,literature in the new period,literature in the transition period and literature in the new century.
