Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in differential diagnosis of ovarian tumor. Methods 43 patients with pelvic mass were given real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination,by which their characteristics of blood perfusion were analyzed. Results Contrast-enhanced ultrasound showed that the enhancement were observed only in the peplos and the septa band of 24(24/26)benign masses, that no enhancement was found in the interior cyst-fluid and the solid echo. Uneven massive enhancement was observed in the interior of 17(17/17) malignancy tumors. Conclusion The characteristics of blood perfusion within the tumor can be observed by contrast-enhanced ultrasound, which will provide valuable information for the differential diagnosis of ovarian tumor.
