Abstract

A FIA method for the determination of phenol in water is developed on the basis of the adsorption of phenol by TBP extraction resin. The linear range of the method is 0.04~1.2 mg/L, the feeding rate is 50 times/h, the relative standard deviations of the selected concentrations are 6.7% and 3.5%, the recoveries of the standard addition methods are 96.3% and 102.7%. F values of the statistical analysis show no significant difference between the proposed method and the 4 aminoantipyrine standard method.
