Liuqiu, Jilong and Taiwan in the Ming Dynasty

Taiwan has different names of the historical documents of the Ming Dynasty. Liuqiu refers to the area south of today's Taizhong. refers to today's Jilong City. Taiwan, pronounced taiyuan in Fujian dialect, refers to today's Taibei. Since the Ming Dynasty, the history of Taiwan has been a history of the invasion of the Japanese pirates and the Dutch and Spanish colonizers, and also a history in which people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait fought the invaders. From 1661 when Zheng Chenggong recovered Taiwan, Taiwan had experienced further development.
