Abstract
The foundations of Piers N10~N12 of Xiangjiaomen Bridge of Zhoushan Islands Link Project are designed as bored piles with variable diameters 1.60 m and 1.80 m, pile length 62~66 m and pile depth into rock 12~24 m, and the water area where the piles are being constructed is deep and swift. In this paper, the construction methods for the piles, technical cruxes encountered during the construction and solutions to the cruxes are elaborated, which are expected to serve as reference to the construction of the similar kind.
