Abstract
Chlorella pyrenoidosa was immobilized by calcium alginate and used to remove nitrogen and phosphorus from wastewater. The results of N/P ratio test show that the removal of nitrogen and phosphorus by immobilized Chlorella is influenced by N/P ratio. The smaller the N/P ratio is, the higher the removal rate of ammonia nitrogen is, and the removal quantity is related to the initial nitrogen concentration. The results of morphological test of nitrogen and phosphorus show that immobilized Chlorella has different removal rates for nitrogen and phosphorus with different morphologies, ordered as ammonia nitrogensimple organic nitrogen nitrate nitrogennitrite nitrogen, and orthophosphatemetaphosphatepyrophosphateorganic phosphate respectively.
