Abstract
Chlorella pyrenoidosa, bacteria and bacteria-algae was entrapped in calcium alginate and used for treatment of artificial wastewater. Experiment results showed that the removal efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus by immobilized bacteria-algae beads were 100% and 89.8% respectively at the presence of glucose during 44 hours treatment, and the effects were better than that of immobilized bacteria and algae beads. The removal efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus was the highest at N/P ratio of 5:1.
