Laboratory Study on Inhibiting Respiratory Syncytial Virus Admini Stered by Ribavirin

Abstract

Objective To study the effect on ribavirin inhibiting RSV in the condition of cell culture.Methods By the method of cell culture and the way of drug administered after two hours when Vero cell were infected by virus,CPE was observed.Results When TCID 50 ≤100,there was no any CPE in the group of ribavirin,but there was 25%～75% CPE in the group of viral control.TD 0、IC 50 ,MTC and T 1 of ribavirin against RSV were 100ug/ml,50ug/ml,25ug/ml and 4,respectively.Conclusions Ribavirin can inhibit RSV signific antly in cell culture,This study has provided the laboratory evidences that ribavirin used to treat RSV infection.
