Experience of treatment for congenital ureteropelvic junction obstruction in children by pyeloplasty

Abstract

Objective:To present our experience on the treatment of congenital ureteropelvic junction obstruction in children with pyeloplasty.Methods:Thirty-eight cases of congenital hydronephrosis were studied during past 5 years.All the cases were successful by pyeloplasty(Anderson-Hynes) except for 1 case which by nephrectomy.Results:Follow-up of 6 months to 5 years have shown that operation were all successful in 37 cases.Conclusions:Anderson-Hynes procedure is an effective method for congential UPJO in children.
