A Comparative Research of College Basketball Game between Xi'an and Some Other Cities in Developed Districts in China

By means of literature review,questionnaires and mathematical statistics,the writer has investigated into the status quo of college basketball game in Xi'an,compared it with that of other cities in developed areas,and drawn the following conclusions:there is a nice environment in colleges and universities in Xi'an for developing basketball game,but there is a problem of lacking of basketball playground and facilities,the standard of which cannot meet the national level and stands in the mid-lower level over China;the teaching resources in basketball should be developed and the frequency,length and expenditure of training for both men's and women's basketball team in Xi'an are much less than that of other cities;most of the coaches are qualified and doing part-time,but it seems that high-quality and high-level coaches are much needed.In order to change the current situation,macroscopic adjustment and control should be enforced,the notion of market be strengthened,a new system of plural investment into the establishment of college basketball playground be set up and professional basketball talents should be fostered through various means so as to manage college basketball teams scientifically.
