Abstract

MCM-41mesoporous molecular sieve was synthesized by hydrothermal method using cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide as template and sodium silicate as raw material, respectively. And Co-loaded mesoporous molecular sieve(Co/MCM-41) was prepared by the wet impregnation method with cobalt chloride solution. The chemical vapor deposition method was employed to catalytically synthesize carbon nanotubes(CNTs) using Co/MCM-41 as catalytic template and alcohol as carbon source. The physicochemical properties of the obtained samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),N2 physical adsorption and Raman spectroscopy, respectively. The results show that the Co/MCM-41 sample possesses a typical mesoporous framework of MCM-41.The Co/MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieve with high specific surface area was successfully synthesized under hydrothermal condition. These mesoporous materials have good mesoporous ordering. When the reaction temperature is 750 ℃,the resulting CNTs are of high quality.
