On the Benign Interaction between Urbanization and Regional Economic Development:the Analysis of Development in Longquanyi District of Chengdu City

It is an urgent job for china to study and resolve the problem on how to boost its urbanization process,so as to ensure the realization of its strategic objectives in urbanization and the smooth transition in the period of its economic transformation and structural adjustment,as is prescribed in the keynote report of the 18 th CPC National Congress.Whether China can achieve positive adoption,coordination and interaction between its Urbanization and Regional Economic Development,it not only affects its urbanization quality and level,but the development model and structure of its regional economy,which even is closely related to its sustainable economic development and finally its people's vital interests.Taking the development in Longquanyi District of Chengdu City as a case,this paper makes comparative analysis of the major economic indicators of this district to show the benign interaction between its urbanization and regional economic development,and to reveal potential higher targets and requirements of urbanization and regional economic development.
